NEW DELHI: Hailing the Pew Survey report, BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday said the popularity of PM Narendra Modi is going up continuously among all sections of the society as he believes in politics of performance and not of caste, dynasty or appeasement.
“The Prime Minister has successfully removed bottlenecks in growth of the weaker sections which led to increasing faith among people about him,” Shah said in a statement.
He said the report signifies that Modi remains the most popular politician, which is an endorsement of the government’s policies and the way he and his team has performed.
“Nine out of ten Indians have expressed unflinching support to Modi, who has given a decisive, corruption-free and transparent leadership to the country,” Shah said.
Recalling India’s leap in the World Bank’s ease of doing business rankings, Shah said growth in foreign reserves, transparent and cashless economy after demonetisation and GST had consolidated the Indian economy.
“Even on foreign soil, the Prime Minister is greeted by thousands, which reflects his popularity across the world. Respect to him is honour to 125 crore Indians,” he said.
Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the survey showed that Modi and his governance had gained popularity in all corners of the country.
